Strutting around like

Chicken f(r)iend

It's not said that often, but it did get me thinking of what it would lead to if it got to extreme mirror behavior.

[Rant] Concerning the opening, in Flanders they introduced legislation to have people use digital energy meters so people use the energy they produce with their solar panels themselves. Although there's something to say about it, this seems like a big excuse not to have to adapt the electricity grid to a changing means of production (distributed, local, in hands of people/cooperatives), which is a shame. Some studies show that if the electricity grid is also in hands of a cooperative, not just the production itself, this leads to a better transition. Currently small-scale, local production has many advantages, but small-scale and local storage is expensive and often not quite so green yet, for storage somewhat bigger scale solutions offer several advantages. But if the grid is not owned by a cooperative, the solutions it's looking for often remain in terms of corporate interests. [/Rant]
